Attention Seeking Behaviour – ASB

a lot of us spend more time in attention seeking over contribution making. Attention Seeking Behaviour starts from childhood when we start trying to impress our parents and parents start rewarding this behaviour.

This behaviour continues when we go to school, where we want our teachers’ attention or our peer group’s attention.

This process continues in to our first job, marriage, and on and on…

Most of the time, it does not stop because we never look in the mirror or ask the simple question – What makes me happy?

The journey begins after responding to this simple question.

A flower

How do each petals of a flower know how much to grow and when to stop growing? The beauty of the flower comes from when the petals of the inner circle decide not to grow beyond a particular size.

The beauty of effective human teams (including families) comes not only from ‘when to say’ but also ‘when not to say’.
