Same 3 principles came from Nature.
I am humbled by realising the power of Design Thinking in building a culture of a highly innovative, customer-focused Company culture.
The power comes from the Self-Transformation of leaders by organising their Thinking space towards high performance. This is followed by Expanding the Performance space process starts by applying First Principle Thinking and Framework way of execution.
Now, this culture is helping us to design the most comprehensive, compostable and contextual Open Banking Platform eMACH.ai. We have also invested over 3.2 million hours of research in building the Business Impact AI platform Purple Fabric.
On the 12th anniversary of the Design Thinking Center, I would like to thank all Intellect Design Arena Ltd customers who trusted their mission-critical systems across 57 countries. I am really privileged to work with over 6,000 customer-focused and committed team who continuously surprise me with their business impact innovations every week. I must thank our partners who are trusting eMACH.ai technology for their customers.
Today, on Thiruvalluvar Day (which is being celebrated in Tamil Nadu, India), I am reminded of a fascinating conversation I had a few years ago with one of our clients about the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu and South India. Naturally, the discussion veered towards a subject I am deeply passionate about—Thirukkural, the timeless masterpiece of knowledge, ethics, and morality written by the celebrated Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar over 2,000 years ago.
In many ways, Thiruvalluvar could be considered the world’s first “tweeter”! Each couplet (kural) is incredibly crisp, concise, and clear—crafted in just 7 words across 2 lines. The Thirukkural itself is a profound compilation of 1,330 couplets, structured into 133 chapters grouped under three life principles—Virtue, Wealth and Love, aligning seamlessly with the ancient Indian philosophy of life’s pursuits.
To truly appreciate the depth of this literary masterpiece, I conceptualized using one of our Design Thinking tools, L0, typically employed to detail a business, product, or solution. The result was an L0 equivalent of the entire Thirukkural, a modern framework capturing its essence in a structured and relatable manner. Today, I am delighted to share this English version for the benefit of a wider audience.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this perspective of Thirukkural!

If we imagine a Temple of Humanity for next 100 years, what will be the places of Worship’s like
Can we visualise as collective team what will that temple which will make humanity survive for next Thousand years.
Visualise in any other form the TEMPLE OF HUMANITY.
You may visualise it by writing a note, painting a picture or just in plain English.
Decisioning – Green Decisions
What is a Decision?
During the day we make hundreds of decisions, some consciously and most of them unconsciously. Driving from home to office alone requires 100 plus decisions of controlling steering, raise, brakes.
Thus, the human mind is prepared to make decisions naturally. But here we are talking about business decisions.
What are the business decisions?
Any estimated scope, efforts, cost, price, timelines, conflict handling, person selection, team selection, and product selection qualifies for business decisions.
The purpose of leadership is to design algorithms to make variability of decisions, from rule-based to template-based knowledge book-based. These Business algorithms once designed makes organisation moving towards “Self managed organisation”. The leaders keep removing the mystery of decision-making to algorithms on a month-on-month basis. Algorithmising decision-making creates time for the leader to lead and design the market, products, and systems.
We still need to make decisions for unknown spaces. We need to design and plan our time for maximum impact. In this situation, decisions get connected to forward detailed planning of one’s calendar for the next 90 days in detail and the next 180 days on a week-by-week basis.
Unknown-unknown or first-time problems require skills in Cartographic mapping of problem space, stakeholder mapping, and end objectives. These problems can be solved individually or with a group of peers/experts/advisors.
Decision can also be categorised into two buckets
1 Important planned and designed decisions vs
2 Unplanned and urgent category.
I call the first category of decisions healthy decisions or Green Decisions, while category B qualifies as “diseased decisions” or forced decisions.
Vision, objective and strategic planning play a critical role in more Green decisions.
What is Courage?
Is courage a Heroism?
Is courage a Risk taking?
Is courage a dealing with uncertainty?
Is courage an emotion or an action?
What is the link between Courage, Conviction and Decisiveness?
Courage to my mind is a force of Action during cloudy future time. It’s a commitment to something partially known or directionally right based either intuition or certain patterns.
Courage requires decisive action and series of decision inspite of early failures. Courage requires not to listening to voice of external skeptics or self doubts during the journey.
Cycle time from Thought, Idea to architecture to decision. This cycle time varies from a few days to a few months to a few years.
